In business, it means that people feel confident working with you, sharing information, and depending on your actions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The challenge appears when we realise that trust is not universal\u2014it is shaped by culture, experience, and expectations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What does trust look like in different cultures?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In some cultures, trust is task-based. This means it is built through competence, results, and efficiency. People trust you when you deliver on time, communicate clearly, and solve problems effectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In other cultures, trust is relationship-based. Here, trust develops through personal connections, informal conversations, and time spent together. Before focusing on tasks, people want to understand who you are as a person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, in more direct and low-context cultures like Germany or the Netherlands, being clear, structured, and efficient builds trust.
