Difficult HR Conversations in English

Practical conversation-based course designed for HR professionals, HR Business Partners, managers, and anyone who conducts challenging conversations with employees and managers in English and wants to communicate with greater confidence and fluency in demanding workplace situations..

The aim of the course is to develop practical communication skills used during difficult HR conversations. Each session focuses on real-life workplace scenarios and the language needed to deliver difficult messages professionally, respond to emotions, and manage conversations with confidence, empathy, and clarity.

During the course, we focus on four key areas:

• Delivering Difficult Messages
• Performance Conversations
• Employee Complaints & Workplace Conflicts
• Managing Emotions & Challenging Questions

The course is highly interactive and workshop-based. A brief introduction to key vocabulary and language structures serves as a starting point for intensive speaking practice. Most of each session is devoted to role plays, conversation simulations, and authentic HR scenarios that participants encounter in their day-to-day work.

The course is delivered in small groups, ensuring that every participant has plenty of opportunities to speak, actively participate, and receive continuous language feedback from the trainer.
After each session, participants receive a short trainer video summarising the key language and communication techniques covered during the class. These recordings help reinforce the material and make it easy to catch up on any missed content.

Each participant receives:

• the presentation used during the session,
• a vocabulary list with practical HR phrases and expressions covered in class,
• a trainer recap video after each session,
• a certificate of completion in both Polish and English.
